Lytic lesion in the right humeral shaft in a patient with previous breast cancer
The surgical clips overlying the right axilla indicate that the patient has undergone axillary node clearance, most likely due to a previous right breast cancer. The AP view of the right shoulder demonstrates an ill-defined lucent lesion in the shaft of the right humerus which is suspicious for a metastatic deposit.
The patient requires further investigation by staging CT +/- bone scan, and referral to the Breast Multidisciplinary Team for discussion of further management.
