Previous seatbelt injury to right breast
The mammograms show dystrophic coarse calcification in a band-like distribution across the upper right breast. The appearances are those of calcified fat necrosis following a previous seatbelt injury.
Comparison with previous mammograms (if available) may be helpful to confirm that the calcification is longstanding and stable. In addition, it is often helpful to review the screening documentation as a history of previous breast injury may have been recorded by the mammographer.
The woman does not require recall for assessment as these are benign findings.
